just got back from "walking street" which is like going thru cool springs galleria but its outside. we were going to the bistro cafe and realized that whoever posted the link about it being a "short walk" from our hotel probably wasnt pushing a busted stroller. (hotel supplied). so as we are walking down walking street looking for the mcdonalds, (Ms Abi loves her some chicken nuggets), i realize how well im blending in with the locals. we get all the looks from the local people. most of the older people see her and realize what we are doing without asking questions and are very supportive, with the occasional look of disgust and some comment in chinese. there are days that im so so so so glad i dont understand mandarin. so anyway im blending in with the locals and realize that as many people that notice Abi are also noticing us. you would think they had never seen a 6 ft 300 pound white guy with a chinese baby.. lol. check out the guy on the bike carrying what looks to be 25 or 30 ft bamboo poles.
